Through many avenues, Maggie's artistic work has always circled back to the power of storytelling. The development of interpersonal connections, the potential for community building, the pursuit of social justice, and the fostering of communal joy are some of the ways Maggie has witnessed shared storytelling impacting society. These points of impact are also what Maggie strives for in her future as an artist and educator.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts and in English from Nebraska Wesleyan University. There, she studied directing, costume design, and acting exclusively- while maintaining a generalist foundation in theater. She received a Specialized Graduate Certificate in Arts and Culture Management with a focus in Outreach and Advocacy from the University of Denver. The certificate centered around why we create Art, and why it is important to continue to ask this question. While continuing her education, she worked full time at Walt Disney World Restort in Costume Production and Sustainment. She has also worked as a Guest Artist Costume Designer regionally throughout Nebraska.
